Deutsche Wolke delivers German Precision Privacy (GPP)

The h-open reports: US authorities have access to European cloud data. I think this finaly shows the relevance of our www.deutsche-wolke.de project.

Deutsche Wolke provides:
  • 100 % opensource software
  • 100 % located in Germany
  • 100 % German administration
  • 100 % German Datenschutz
We started providing a OpenQRM based IaaS at CeBit 2011. Some weeks later we started providing our first SaaS offering providing a DMS system as a Service (Agorum). At the Zarafa Summercamp I spoke to the German CEO of Zarafa. I think we will be able to provide a fullfeatured groupware setup powered by Zarafa. We will be able to provide:
  • Outlook 2011 connectivity
  • AJAX based WebGUI
  • ActiveSync connectivity
  • Blackberry connectivity
The next step will be the integration of a powerful Open Source project management system provided by Information Desire in Mainz (Projectile).  The integration will happen through an ESB. Deutsche Wolke made already a decision for Mule
We hope to provide an full featured Open Source alternative to existing proprietary  Cloud offerings and to fulfull the Open Source Cloud promise based on the Open Cloud Principles defined by the Open Cloud Initiative (OCI) to avoid any vendor lock-in.
